Comunidy Terms of Service
Updated October 28, 2026. First published May 17, 2026.
These Terms govern the Comunidy mobile application and related services operated by Lumen Core LLC ("Comunidy," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms and the Comunidy Privacy Policy.
The service
Comunidy helps authorized private communities manage members, families, Events, Classes, Resources, messages, invitations, participation, Member+, Contributions, and related operations. Features can differ by community, role, platform, and launch stage. Comunidy is responsible for operating the platform; communities remain responsible for the activities and content they create.
Accounts and family information
You must provide accurate account information, protect access to your email and device, and use only communities you are authorized to join. Adult parents or guardians may create and manage child profiles. They must have authority to provide child information and must keep it accurate and appropriately limited. Comunidy does not currently provide independent child accounts.
Community and organizer responsibilities
Community owners, administrators, organizers, and assigned managers are responsible for lawful and accurate membership decisions, participant eligibility, Event and Class descriptions, schedules, capacity, pricing, availability, cancellation information, Resources, content permissions, child/family handling, community rules, and connected Stripe account administration. They may act only within the permissions Comunidy provides.
Comunidy remains responsible for the platform's own authentication, authorization, storage, payment integration, notification, and safety controls. These Terms do not transfer Comunidy's legal duties to a community.
User content
You retain ownership of messages, photos, audio, polls, Event and Class descriptions, Resources, announcements, and other content you submit, subject to the rights of others. You grant Comunidy a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and moderate that content only as needed to operate the service. Comunidy does not claim ownership of your content.
You must have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload, including content depicting children or other people. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, exploitative, deceptive, or harmful content.
Payments, Member+, and Contributions
Where available, paid Events, paid Classes, Contributions, and Member+ use Stripe-hosted checkout and direct charges on the applicable community's connected Stripe account. Comunidy's current platform fee is 0%. Stripe processing charges are separate and are charged to the connected account under its Stripe agreement. Refunds reduce the connected account's balance; original provider processing, Connect, or currency-conversion fees may not be returned.
First-time setup for a new payment recipient creates a separate connected Stripe account rather than linking an existing Stripe account. A payout-only pause does not by itself block new paid purchases in Comunidy when Stripe permits the required payments and the account remains connected and otherwise eligible. Payment restrictions, disconnection and Comunidy security controls can still prevent checkout. Funds can collect in the connected Stripe balance while bank payouts are unavailable. Stripe may request further information or restrict an account after setup. Completing setup does not guarantee continuing payment availability or a payout date. Read the payment and refund information and Support guidance.
Prices and billing periods are shown before checkout. Member+ applies to the individual community, not all of Comunidy. Available monthly or annual paid plans renew until canceled. A scheduled cancellation generally leaves access active through the current paid period. Manage a paid subscription through the Stripe-hosted billing portal available in the app. Authorized community administrators can also grant included Member+ access without billing. Community ownership or an administrative role alone does not provide Member+ access.
A Contribution is a one-time payment supporting a community through Stripe. It does not activate Member+, reserve an Event or Class place, purchase participation, or automatically provide benefits or entitlements. Comunidy does not certify tax deductibility. Contact the community or Comunidy Support about Contribution refund availability.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation does not guarantee a refund. Depending on the activity's saved policy and the applicable deadline, cancellation can initiate an eligible refund or require owner review. Existing purchases retain their applicable terms. Refund availability depends on the purchase, community, cancellation, and payment state. The app shows available refund actions where applicable; an authorized community financial operator reviews eligible Event or Class requests. Full or partial refunds are available only where the purchase and payment workflow support them. See the payment and refund information for Class package and drop-in refund scope.
A payout-only pause does not by itself block an eligible refund. Refunds use the original connected account and remain subject to its available balance, payment method, account access and Stripe's processing restrictions. Requesting or approving a refund does not confirm that it has completed. A refund may remain pending, require more information, fail, or complete later. A completed refund can take additional time to appear through your payment provider. Original provider fees may not be returned to the community's connected account. Contact the community or Comunidy Support if you need help or cannot find an applicable refund action.
Acceptable use and moderation
You must follow the Comunidy Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines. Message options include Report Message and Block User where applicable. Blocking hides that person's messages for you within the community; it is not a global account ban. Authorized community administrators can remove community members, remove group messages, and restrict who can post in group conversations, including pausing an individual member's posting. These controls depend on role and context and can be used to address prohibited content or abuse. For other safety, abuse, or copyright concerns, contact Comunidy Support.
Account and community exit
Leaving a community ends access to that community but does not delete your account. Community owners may need to transfer or close responsibilities before leaving. Account deletion is available in the app and is separate from leaving a community. It may require resolving community or payment-account ownership, family responsibilities, active access, participation, subscriptions, or financial work. Completed deletion ends account access and replaces the public profile with a deleted-member identity, while limited shared, financial, family, safety, audit, and legal records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy. Support is available if you cannot access your account or need help.
Intellectual property
Lumen Core LLC and its licensors own the Comunidy software, brand, interface, and original platform materials. These Terms do not give users ownership of the software or brand. You may not unlawfully copy, distribute, reverse engineer, interfere with, or bypass security or access controls, except to the extent applicable law prohibits that restriction.
Third-party services
Comunidy relies on providers including Supabase, Railway, Cloudflare, Resend, Stripe, Expo, Apple, and Google for functions such as authentication, hosting, website delivery, security, email, notifications, checkout, refunds, and app distribution. The Privacy Policy explains how information is used and shared to provide the service.
Availability and changes
Features and availability can differ by community and platform. Service interruptions, maintenance, or third-party outages can affect access. Prices and billing periods are shown before checkout; this page does not activate any future platform fee.
