Comunidy Payments, Refunds, Member+, and Contributions

Checkout
Where available, payment is completed on a Stripe-hosted page for the community. Review the amount and billing period shown before checkout. Comunidy's current platform fee is 0%.
Paid Events, paid Classes, Contributions, and Member+ use direct charges on the applicable community's connected Stripe account. Stripe processing charges are separate and are charged to the connected account under its Stripe agreement. Refunds reduce that account's balance. Original provider processing, Connect, or currency-conversion fees may not be returned.
For Classes with packages or drop-ins, review the selected participants, options, included dates and total before checkout. A package does not necessarily cover the full Class series. Package prices are not automatically prorated for late entry.
Community payment setup
For a new payment recipient, first-time setup creates a separate Stripe account for payments through Comunidy. It does not connect an existing Stripe account. The same business name or email does not mean two Stripe accounts are the same. Authorized payment operators can check the connected account ID and its status in Comunidy's payment settings.
Payments and payouts are different: payments collect money from customers; payouts send available funds from Stripe to the recipient's bank account. A payout-only pause does not by itself block new paid purchases in Comunidy when Stripe permits the required payments and the account remains connected and otherwise eligible. Funds can collect in the connected Stripe balance while bank payouts are unavailable. Payment restrictions, disconnection and Comunidy security controls can still prevent checkout. Free registrations and free RSVPs do not require payment-account readiness.
Stripe can request information or restrict an account after setup. Authorized payment operators must keep their account information current and respond to Stripe's requests through Stripe. Completing setup is not a guarantee of continuing eligibility or a payout date. Comunidy remains responsible for its own payment integration and registration controls.
If payment settings show a restriction, follow the displayed action for the connected account. Some issues require information in Stripe; others require Stripe Support or a review. Refreshing the status checks for updates but does not remove a restriction. Comunidy cannot approve Stripe verification or override a Stripe restriction. See Support for help with the correct account and with Comunidy registration or payment errors.
Registration deadlines
Where an Event or Class has a registration deadline, it is shown before registration. A deadline of one day before permits registration through the end of the previous calendar day in the activity's timezone. Class package and drop-in deadlines use each selected option's first meeting; choosing several options is subject to the earliest applicable deadline. A valid paid checkout started before the deadline may finish within its existing time limit. A registration deadline is separate from a refund deadline.
Refund requests
Event and Class refunds follow the activity's refund policy, available in Payment & refund details before checkout. An automatic-refund deadline may be the Event start or the applicable Class meeting, or 24, 48 or 72 hours before it. For a full-series Class purchase, that meeting is the Class's first session. For package or drop-in purchases, it is the earliest included session recorded for the original payment, including when that payment covers several options. Cancelling before that deadline automatically initiates the eligible refund; at or after the deadline, a refund requires owner review. Under Owner review, every refund requires approval. Existing purchases retain their applicable terms. Authorized community financial operators review eligible requests. Full or partial refunds are available only where supported by the purchase and payment workflow. Availability also depends on the purchase, cancellation and payment state; cancellation alone is not confirmation of a completed refund.
Where an Event or Class offers free admission for young children, all selected attendees still count toward its attendance and capacity. The registration review shows each attendee's price and the total. Eligibility is measured on the selected Event date or the first Class session in the Class's timezone, including for Class packages and drop-ins. A parent or guardian may be asked to confirm age-band eligibility when birth month and year alone cannot determine it. A zero-priced attendee has no payment amount to refund. Class cancellation applies to the whole registration, not selected individual participants or dates. Eligible Class refunds are assessed against the original payments and their applicable policies.
A payout-only pause does not by itself block an eligible refund. Refunds use the original connected account and remain subject to its available balance, payment method, account access and Stripe's processing restrictions. Requesting or approving a refund does not confirm that it has completed.
A refund may remain pending, require more information, fail, or complete later. A completed refund can take additional time to appear through your payment provider. Original provider fees may not be returned to the community's connected account.
Contact the community or Comunidy Support if you need help or cannot find an applicable refund action.
Member+
Member+ applies to the individual community, not all of Comunidy. Where offered, monthly and annual paid plans renew until canceled. A scheduled cancellation generally keeps access active until the current paid period ends. Manage a paid subscription through the Stripe-hosted billing portal available in the app. Authorized community administrators may also grant included Member+ access without billing. Community ownership or an administrative role alone does not provide Member+ access.
Contributions
A Contribution is a one-time payment supporting the community through Stripe. It does not activate Member+, reserve an Event or Class place, purchase participation, or automatically provide benefits or entitlements. Comunidy does not certify tax deductibility.
Contact the community or Comunidy Support about Contribution refund availability. Availability and status depend on the payment and applicable community rules. A Contribution does not carry a guaranteed refund outcome.
